When a tree is cut down, the remaining stump either sprouts new growth or sits as an eyesore in your yard. It may possibly rot or attract pests. Our recommendation after cutting down any tree is to finish the job by grinding the stump(s). This process will completely remove the tree and allow you to take full advantage of the newly opened space whether that is your yard, garden or other type of useful space.
Grinding Details
We default grind 4-6 inches below grade (under the soil level). This allows us to catch the parts of the stump and roots that are buried beneath the soil.
Versatile Operation
As seen in the video above, we can get into pretty tight spaces to remove your stumps. Even spaces that are crowded with boulders and electrical or other underground utilities.
Quick Removal
Your average stump can usually be removed in a couple hours. Removal time will vary depending on the size of the stump, but should be no longer than one day.
Budget Friendly
Stump grinding is an inexpensive way to make a significant improvement to your property. Starting at just a few hundred dollars, you can have a brand new yard. To get a more specific price, simply request an estimate and we will be happy to provide you with more details on price and time.
Reasons to Remove Stumps
Unless you are going to turn your stump into yard art, there are many good reasons to remove stumps. Here are a few:
- They are unsightly, especially in your main yards and gardens
- They are a safety hazard
- They can attract insects and pests (commonly ants, bees, termites and beetles)
- New trees will often sprout from an old stump
- Can be an obstruction to building plans and other work you want to do on your property
